A Glimpse into Our Training Approach
Training
Approach
At Iron Foggy, we help adults build real strength in a way that feels safe, structured, and sustainable. Instead of random workouts or generic personal training, we focus on coaching the fundamentals, improving movement mechanics, and helping you progress consistently over time.
Many people come to Iron Foggy because they want more than just a workout. They want expert guidance, a clear plan, and the confidence to train without guessing. Our barbell-based approach is beginner-friendly and highly scalable, which means you can start where you are, learn the lifts well, and gradually build strength, muscle, better body composition, and stronger bones.
Once you’ve built a solid foundation, your training can be adjusted around your goals and your life. Whether that means feeling stronger day to day, improving performance for sports like golf or tennis, or simply keeping up with work, travel, and family.
If you’re looking for strength coaching that is thoughtful, personalized, and built for long-term progress, Iron Foggy can help. Start by filling out the intake form below.

Coaching Services
New clients typically begin with hands-on coaching to master the mechanics of key barbell lifts, including the squat, bench press, deadlift, and shoulder press. This foundational phase usually takes 3 to 8 sessions. Afterward, trainees transition to online coaching for continued progress and cost savings.
Hello there
I’m Juan - A Strength and Conditioning Coach
I enjoy the process of developing strength and helping others in their transformation. It's incredibly motivating to see new clients break through hurdles and surpass their expectations.
My journey into coaching began early while practicing martial arts. In college, I taught martial arts classes, guiding people on how to move their bodies effectively. After many years of practice, I started to accumulate injuries from the sport, culminating in an ACL tear that required surgery. Although physical therapy helped me return to daily function, it wasn't enough to regain my power and strength.
This experience led me to seek more. I earned my National Academy of Sports Medicine certification and simultaneously started working at a barbell gym, where I was coached on the lifts and learned how to coach others. The strength I developed from using a simple tool and methodical programming took my performance to the next level.
After 10 years of training and coaching in barbell lifts, I still enjoy the process of strength training and learning new techniques. Most of all, I love sharing this journey with others and getting them excited about strength training.
Why did I choose the name Iron Foggy? It represents two things I love: spending time training and my puppy, Foggy.
